The Pint Unlock chip will allow newer OneWheels made after 2024 to use this extended range battery. It works by tricking OneWheel software into thinking the pack you have is stock. It will also give you an accurate battery reading in the app along with the ability to view the pack's health.

I purchased the 15s Nexus BMS and their 15s1p Molicel battery which is advertised for VESC onewheel conversions. Do NOT assume that you can go ahead and plug the XT60 connectors to connect their battery, BMS, and a standard VESC. I used the Ubox 85150. The polarity is flipped on the nexus BMS which reverse biased the mosfets in my controller which led to a short. Immediately the battery started to smoke and melted the insulation. Thankfully there was no thermal runaway and no fire because I was able to unplug it fast enough, but this is a severe fire hire hazard. A warning note in the box would have saved me a potential fire and the loss of a $350 battery. I am very disappointed with their lack of documentation.

Works great
So far so good. Shipped fast, fast response to support asks and was shipped perfectly balanced. The only thing that i dont like is how tight the bms wires are in the housing. Not really the fault of Nexus, just feels uncomfy. I also had a significant more amount of trimming the battery housing to make it fit thats not in the install video.
Decided to install the PintV kit in my Pint but didn't want to run a stock battery. I checked multiple sites and read different reviews on multiple batteries. Ended up settling on Nexus and their Pint Plus Battery Upgrade with the P42a cells. They advised they were phasing the P42a cells out slowly and upgraded my cells to the P45b cells instead. Installed the battery into my Pint and off I went. Battery works amazing, and surprisingly I get the advertised range as well. I'm 205lbs and consistently hit 65% duty cycle on my PintV, I ride it hard but still manage to get decent mileage. I think my 3rd ride after doing an out of the box balance charge I rode for 10.2 miles and still had 27% battery capacity left according to both Floaty and VESC Tool. If just street cruising and being mindful of my duty cycle, I get 15 miles on a charge. 10/10 would recommend.
