Nexus Pint Plus Onewheel Pint Battery Upgrade

I ordered this battery largely because it was described that it would ship within 2-3 days. After a week and the battery still not having shipped I cancelled my order. The company said that the item had already shipped and that I could return it once it arrived. An hour and a half after this the item was scanned as accepted so clearly it had not already been shipped. I have since multiple times reached out to the company to return the item but still have not received any reply. They do not honor their return policy.

Decided to install the PintV kit in my Pint but didn't want to run a stock battery. I checked multiple sites and read different reviews on multiple batteries. Ended up settling on Nexus and their Pint Plus Battery Upgrade with the P42a cells. They advised they were phasing the P42a cells out slowly and upgraded my cells to the P45b cells instead. Installed the battery into my Pint and off I went. Battery works amazing, and surprisingly I get the advertised range as well. I'm 205lbs and consistently hit 65% duty cycle on my PintV, I ride it hard but still manage to get decent mileage. I think my 3rd ride after doing an out of the box balance charge I rode for 10.2 miles and still had 27% battery capacity left according to both Floaty and VESC Tool. If just street cruising and being mindful of my duty cycle, I get 15 miles on a charge. 10/10 would recommend.

As a 200lb+ rider, I was getting around 6 miles from my rewheeled pint which is probably pretty standard but wanted more. I bought the p45b cells and rewheeled again with pushback kicking in around 18.5mph and now I can easily keep up with XRs. I could probably kick it up even faster but trying to keep it somewhat safe. I think I am now getting 12 miles range which is exactly what I was hoping. My pint is my go to board again for quick sessions and errands. I can feel the extra power and I don’t feel surging at all anymore. My only complaint is that shipping took a little longer than I was hoping for but nexus responded quickly saying that they were doing extra QA on the cells to make sure my order was up to their standards. It was well worth the extra week wait, I just wish expectations were set at the time I ordered. As far as install modifications, I only had to trim the BMS cover a little on both corners, because the battery connections are a tad closer to the BMS on the plus battery compared to the stock. No major surgery was required.

Ordered the p42a & it has been working great. Get about 15-20 km per charge with 15psi PT tire. This would be a 5 star review but the fit in the battery box is not great and wouldn’t fit without carefully trimming some plastic. Just barely fits in there. Would be totally fine if I knew that ahead of time but there is no warning in the description & also the install video QR code that was provided in the box is a dead link. Overall good battery, pairs well with my rewheeled Pint, just need a bit clearer instructions. Thanks!

I rode 1.2 miles last night and only depleted the battery by 2%. This battery is everything it claims to be and will raise your pints top speed by 5 min. Cool your board down tremendously and triple your range..
